Linux Features Prominently at This Year's CES

The yearly Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the right spot for buyers and industry insiders to gather information regarding the hottest electronic devices and upcoming products. Previously, the stage was ruled by Google's Android. Never the less, this year Linux attracted lots of attention, as reported by a PCWorld.com article. Below are a portion of the Linux products which were presented at this year's CES.

The XO 3.0 tablet

This particular tablet is affordable, tough and also uses a reduced amount of energy. It would be perfect for training everywhere could also be used to run special courses, for example unix training courses.  The product's display screen is easily read in sun light and may even be powered by solar panels or by various other alternative sources of power. This awesome display screen is known as the Pixel Qi sunlight readable screen. It is able to operate all Linux dependent packages and the estimated price is below $100.

Qooq

This product is a must have for  cooking enthusiasts around the globe. This is a touchscreen tablet designed by Unowhy, a French corporation. It is resistant to virtually any foods or liqiuds that could inadvertently be spilled onto it, and the screen is easily cleaned off using a sponge. The buttons are watertight too. This specific tablet supplies it's user a chance to access a minimum of 3500 tested recipes, nearly half of which are coupled with video tutorials. You can also find interactive solutions which feature a shopping list and meal planner. This gadget runs a specialized variation of Linux and it is expected to cost $399. The Qooq provides a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor.  The tablet also offers common multimedia options including email, internet browsing, MP3 and weather forecasts.
